Go Green at Wyoming Valley Mall this weekend!
Apr 09, 2010 -- Apr 11, 2010An electronic recycling event will be held in the mall parking lot near JCPenney. Hours are Friday and Saturday, 12 noon to 6:30pm, and Sunday 12noon to 4:30pm.
In an effort to decrease the burden of landfill space and utilize
electronic components that still have functional life, WNEP-TV is
conducting an Electronic Recycling Event in conjunction with its
Power To Save Project. If you have old computers and TV’s you don’t know
what to do with bring them to the mall this weekend.
Electronic Recycling Hours:
Friday & Saturday, April 9th & 10th: Noon – 6:30pm
Sunday, April 11th: Noon – 4:30pm
Location: Wyoming Valley Mall parking lot near JCPenney/Chili’s
o Please do not take equipment into the Mall building
What is being recycled and accepted? Computers and Televisions. No other electronics will be accepted.
Cost: $5 for each TV and $5 for each Computer Monitor. Computer towers, keyboards, mouse are FREE
Who is eligible to participate? Residents of northeastern and central Pennsylvania. Residential and business recycling is welcomed.
You don’t need to get out of your car -- simply open the trunk and collection workers will collect your donations! As a precaution, you are encouraged to format and wipe clean your computer's hard drive prior to donating at the mall. However, your hard drive can also be wiped clean at the event. ECO International assures those who donate that all personal data will be
removed and/or destroyed, protecting you from potential identity theft.
